我在字典和网上同时搜查了一下，发现leave to在英格兰和美国几乎没有同样的用法。有可能爱尔兰式英语里会有？以下是论坛截图，重点用红笔标出。
leave + 某物+ to + 人
1）表示放弃
There is nothing we can do about the situation. Let's leave it tothe will of God. (我们对这种情况无能为力，只能听从上帝的旨意了)
2）表示遗嘱 (文艺腔）
Iwillleavethiswatchtooneofmygrandchildren.
（我将把手表留给我的孙子。）
Mygrandfatherleft hishousetomymother.
（祖父把房子留给了母亲。）
3）表示分配
Iwillleavethislastlittlebitofthejobtoyou.
（我把剩下的任务交给你啦。）
当然，你永远都可以用动词+to 表示目的
I am leaving to get there on time.
(我现在出发，为了准时到达。)
